About Us
In 2004 a group of American Association of University Women (AAUW) members, met and decided to focus on “grass roots issues of our community”.
They reorganized under the name of Ozark Women’s Association (OWA) with the goal of annually raising funds for three (3) scholarships for girls that
live in, and attend school in, Taney and Stone Counties, Missouri. Since the establishment of this goal, OWA has been able to give 48 scholarships to area
girls. Money is raised by garage sale, fund raisers at local restaurants and donations.

The purpose of OWA shall be to unite community members and to work to promote equity in education, intellectual growth, individual growth and opportunities for women and girls.
